Usually,
the Employer generated the UAN number, and this UAN number mentioned on our
monthly salary slip. But if your Employer doesn’t share your UAN number in such
case you can get your number from UAN Portal by following easy steps:
- Open UAN Portal website in your browser https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/Click on the aadhaar verified UAN Allotment
link.
- Input your aadhaar number
- Know you will get one time Password (OTP) at
your aadhaar registered mobile number.
- Enter you OTP and for a while as the system
will fetching your details from aadhaar database and auto-fill the details
in required fields.
- Know click submit to get your UAN number. You
can I also get UAN number at your registered mobile number.
Required Documents to Generate UAN number:
- ID proof (Identity Proof) – Voter ID, Driving
License, Passport
- Address Proof - Telephone,
Electricity, IGI GAS bill like any utility bill, Rent Agreement, Ration
Card
- Bank Details - Account number,
Branch address, IFSC Code.
- PAN Card Number
- Aadhaar Card
- ESIC Card

Steps to Activate UAN Number
Once get the UAN number knows its turn to activate the
UAN Number:
- Go to the official EPFO website and log in.
- Click on the ‘for employees’ under the heading
‘our services.’
- Know you will redirected to the page which
offers different services provided by EPFO.
- Click on the ‘Member UAN/Online Services
- Know active UAN link appears, click on it to
activate your UAN.
- Provide your all required details like mobile
number, UAN, PF number and Email ID.
- Click to ‘Get Authorisation PIN’. This PIN will
be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the PIN and click on Activate UAN number
As your UAN number is activated, you will get the
Password on your registered mobile number. By using this Password you can
access you UAN account. By sign in the account, you can change your Password.
Once your UAN number is activated, you can track your all EPFO related
activities like withdrawals, transfers by login into the EPFO portal.
UAN number always kept same even you change your job.
Please note UAN number never altered but you can get different Employee ID when
you change your job. This member ID is linked to your UAN account to make
transfer and withdrawals easier.
